Perth City
A vibrant and modern city, pleasantly sited on the Swan River, with the port of Fremantle a mere 20km downstream and the towns of Rockingham and Mandurah to the south.
It is claimed to be the sunniest state capital in Australia and the coastal regions of WA provide excellent fishing and diving spots, including Rottnest Island, which is only 30 minutes away.

Places to Visit Swan River The Swan river provides extensive, sheltered cruising, waterskiing, fishing and crabbing locations. The Swan is a generous, gentle river right at Perth's doorstep. It was named in 1797, by the Dutch explorer, Willem de Vlamingh who was impressed by the many black swans, which he observed upon its waters. The banks of the Swan were the site for Stirling's settlement.
Today, the swan river and Perth are inextricably bound together. |
Rottnest Island Rottnest Island is located approximately 18 kilometres west of Perth. It is one of Western Australia's most popular holiday destinations, with over 400,000 visitors per year.
